Pet of the Month:

Minnie and Banjo!

16 years ago Minnie was born in a garage and grew up in a home with the Wilson family. As Minnie grew up she had many house mates and as she has a spicy personality, she was always the one to start fights but could never finish them. Apart from her spicy personality, Minnie’s favorite thing to do is snuggle. In her free time Minnie hunts down headphone cords, tv cords, tinsel on Christmas trees, and her favorite… iphone chargers. Minnie is only fond of her 2 “mothers”, Luke Wilson and Nevaeh Lawson… no one else. Minnie has now grown up to be 16 years old! She enjoys laying around the house, looking out windows, and watching cat videos on Youtube. Minnie also enjoys to eat… she really loves food. Minnie gives the Lawson family so many laughs and they are so grateful for her.

2 years ago during a snow storm im February Banjo climbed into an engine to stay warm, little did he know that the car he was keeping warm in would start and drive him 30 minutes from where he was. When the car made it to its destination he climbed out and survived, only having a burn on his tail. Banjo made his way to the Lawson’s back deck to try and keep warm. The Lawson family took care of him, feeding him, getting him veterinary care, warmth, and a place to sleep. Banjo’s life had completely turned around from having no home to more than he could ever imagine. For a year and a half Banjo was an outdoor cat with a beautiful life full of adventures, catching prey, climbing trees, and sun bathing. Banjo is now an indoor cat but still enjoys time outside rolling in the dirt and catching bugs. Banjo enjoys pestering his older sister, Minnie, playing in his tunnel, taking naps in his cat tree, and watching the birds outside. Banjo is so loved and the Lawson family is so grateful he showed up at their home.

Minnie and Banjo have recently just moved in together and met for the first time about 1 month ago. Banjo and Minnie did not get along at first but have learned to tolerate each other. Minnie enjoys watching Banjo play and Banjo enjoys sneak attacking Minnie. They grow closer everyday and the Lawson family cannot wait to see where their relationship goes. Minnie and Banjo are loved so much.
