Glenway Animal Hospital Presents:

Pet of the Month

Dash & Sprint

Hi, I'm Dash!  I'm 4 months old.  I came from Fourgotten Paws Animal Rescue.  They said I would be a good match for a house with an established cat.  Sprint was a little unsure of me at first, but I was patient and within a week or so he decided that we could be friends.  Now I keep him on his toes.  When Sprint doesn't feel like playing, I chase my toy mice ("meeses").  Every night I make my mom go on a "meese hunt" to look for all the meeses I batted under the furniture. I'm also learning to be clicker trained.  So far I know how to "target" and I know that when my mom says "Up!" she wants me to jump on the couch.  It's so much fun to try to figure out what she wants me to do in order to get a "click" and a treat!

Hi, I'm Sprint! I'm 2 years old and was adopted from the SPCA in October 2009.  I'm a little shy around people, but when I feel comfortable I love to play with the Cat Dancer and my catnip-filled mouse.  I also like to chew on paper.  Mom calls me her "paper shredder".  I'm also fascinated by the "kitten in the box", which appears when my mom turns off the TV.  Mom tried to explain that this is just my reflection in the TV screen, but I'm convinced there is a kitten in the box.  A few weeks ago I lost my buddy, Marathon (we were adopted together).  But before I could get too lonely mom brought me a new friend, an orange kitten, and we're getting along great.

See how well Sprint and Dash are getting along. Click on the picture below to watch them play.
